Thanksgiving at Aunt Lisa's

We had over 40 family members at Aunt Lisa's for Thanksgiving this year!

What a treat that was getting to visit with everyone. It made up somewhat for missing the reunion. This was the first time we got to see Brooke's baby Lincoln. What a cutie! Rob was his favorite! The oranges you see them eating came from the neighbors tree. They ate every single orange. I think we'll all pitch in and send him a really great fruit basket.

Off to the Gulf

We left Nov. 16 th for Alabama. The eleven hour trip took us 15. I-10 had been shut down in La Fayette. And I know I've said this the last time I drove to Alabama, but I'm not gonna drive that trip again. We'll definitely have to fly! Mom did! And Robert is flying down, too. The kids love the beach, Jade's favorite part is playing in the sand. T's favorite is the heated indoor pool, he enjoys doing flips off the side of the pool. I'm trying not to die of a heart attack, while I try to act calm when I tell him- "feet first please!". How do any of us survive childhood? We arrived after midnight and spent the night at Paw Paw and Gamies. The next morning we helped Paw Paw check the crab traps. Neither of the kids liked the crabs, but they were amazed by them just the same. Neither wanted to pet the fish. What sissy's! We had a huge blowfish in one of the traps and they really liked watching it puff up! After breakfast Gamie and Paw Paw took us to the condo. Jade and T rode with them. Ahh, quiet! Jade picked out the "Minnie Mouse" room for herself and the "Crab" room for T. She loved having her own room here. She made herself a desk and spent lots of time in her room.

Gamie & Paw Paw Come to Visit

Gamie & Paw Paw came to visit on their way home from San Fransisco. They had been on a train ride!! We were super glad to see them. (An American version of the Orient Express)We met them at the RV park. Gamie and Paw Paw brought Jade a Snow White costume and T a Transformer. I forgot my camera and Gamie only took pictures of the kids. Well, I think they're pretty cute too!.

David's got a Blog!

Well, what do you know!! David and his family finally got on board and started a blog!! I wish all our family would start one, so we could stay in touch with the day to day stuff. We are so excited to see all the fun stuff they've been doing this summer!!.

Dave had a boat sink about the middle of May he said,. "It’s not too big a deal since we have insurance and replacement boats so we are o.k. I just hate to see a boat in that shape, kinda gives you the willies doesn’t it?" David is the one in the red shirt.

Brooke had her Baby!!!

Well, I-Shoo finally called back with details!!!!!!

Lincoln arrived at 2:54 PM...According to his mother....it wasn't bad at all....I guess there
is hope that he will have a brother or sister one day.

He has dark peach fuzz.

Lincoln has already been identified as gifted! His IQ is off the charts. Several SEC coaches have already contacted Dax and Brook....Looks like he will be a "southpaw" right-fielder like his grandfather. And of course, he is a trust fund baby!!!

Lastly, Lisa said that she saw a sign the other day that just says is all...."Grandchildren are God's gift to you for not killing your children."

Dress Up

Aunt Lisa drew Jade's name for Christman. She gave her dress up costumes, along with shoes. The scarf around Jade's neck can also be worn as a dress! Jade dresses up T so they can both be princesses. (His dress won't hook in back, but hers is almost too big). They are so funny clomping through the condo in their heels.

Christmas in November

We had our Childress Reunion during Thanksgiving this year. We stayed in the condo and had David's family over for dinner. I got a stomach virus and gave it to them at this party! OOPS!

We had a great time playing in the sand. They are rebuilding the beaches after the destruction caused by the Hurricanes. These dunes are like little mountains for the kids.

Nanny's House

We got to visit with Dad, Kela, Nanny, Gippy and Jamie at Nanny's house. We had such a good time and the kids are getting sooo big! Gippy and Jamie made Jade and T a necklace and a bracelet. The shoes Jamie has in this picture, Jade is now wearing (3/07).

At the Beach

This is the kids first time at the beach. Jade loves the sand. T doesn't like having it all over him, but he loves the water.

Heading to Alabama

Our 11hr. trip to Alabama seems like 100hrs. when the kids get bored. They took turns looking at these books for a little while (5sec. maybe)

Kela, Gippy & Jamie helped us move Mom into her apartment. We spent a day in San Antonio at the Alamo and the Riverwalk.

Rob's Birthday

David & Tiffany threw Rob a party while we were packing her stuff for her move to Austin. Jade's learning all kinds of neat tricks from her Dad, and T is just hanging out. He's the greatest baby!
