Heading Home

Boy do we all miss T. On the way home, Jade wanted to take pictures. Robert showed her how and she's doing a pretty good job! The first thing we did when we got home was smother T with kisses and then we all went swimming! Aunt Kylene stayed for a little while and Jade told her all about the Jungle ride!

Magic Kingdom

At Magic Kingdom we rode the Jungle Cruise and Jade kept pulling me and Rob back into the boat each time we passed alligators, snakes, hippos or anything in the water. We saw tigers, lions, monkeys, elephants, and lots of other animals. I think we could have ridden that ride over and over and Jade would have been totally content. Jade pointed out all the animals and called them by name.
Next Jade wanted to ride Pirates of the Caribbean. Rob said he thought it would be too scary for her, but Jade said, "It's not scary Dad". While in line Jade spotted Capt. Hook and he saw her point and came over, Robert put his hand out b/c he was afraid you would be too scared. Capt. Hook shook his hand and then Jade put her hand out to shake his hand and he kissed it. The pirates ride was too scary, and Jade hid her face in her Dad's lap through the whole ride. Next we went to Mickey Philharmagic- a 3D movie. The 3D glasses were too big for Jade's head, so Rob held them and she would push her face into them. It started out with a music concert and the instruments floated towards us. Later when Ariel spilled her jewels and they came towards us, Jade reached for them, then removed the glasses to see if it was real. After the movie she rode on cinderella's carousel. We ate in the cafe where we watched Country Bears. Jade loved the buffalo, moose and elk on the wall. We sat just under them. Rob took Jade to watch the light parade while I cleared the table. Then we were off to find a good spot for the fireworks. You slept in the stroller until the fireworks got started. As soon as they were over, you went right back to sleep.

Downtown Disney

We had to be out of our rooms by 8am, so everyone was hurrying to get out on time. Before we knew it we were shuffled through customs and on a bus headed for the All Stars Movie Resort. The first thing Jade did when we got there, was take off her clothes and climb into bed. Once we finally talked her into getting up, we headed for Downtown Disney. There she found an alligator outside the Rainforest Cafe, that she loved. She also loved the shark and crab in Lego world. Jade wiped herself out playing in the water fountains in the middle of the shopping plaza. She feel asleep in the stroller, but woke up for ice cream as we headed to the Magic Kingdom.

Dinner at Triton's

Uncle David and Aunt Tiffany gave Jade a Minnie Mouse costume, so we put it on her for dinner our last night on board. Jade had Mickey shaped pasta and marinara and a chocolate ears ice cream bar. After dinner Rob and Jade went with Uncle David, Grant, and Turner to see "Cars". I went to see Pirates of the Carribean II. When I got back everyone was asleep.

Castaway Cay

The next day we arrived at Disney's Island, Castaway Cay. The ship you see in the first photo is from Pirates of the Carribean II. This is the Flying Dutchman's ship. After we swama and built sand castles together, we put Jade in the kids play section, where they dug for whale bones and had lunch at Pluto's diner. Rob & I went to get snorkeling eq. and found Dave, Tif and their family on the family beach. We went to Serenity Bay, thinking we may find Paw-Paw and Gamie. We had blackened Mahi sandwiches and watermelon there. The water was so clear. We came back and got dressed for Jade's graduation ceremony. She's standing on the table on our balcony to look out at our beautiful view. This is her counselor Brett. They hung out together alot. She's upset with us in the 2nd. picture because this is our second try. We're only allowed one picture.!

Nassau

We got up this morning to a beautiful view of Nassau. Room service brought doughnuts and apple juice. Then we took Jade to the Oceaneer Club and dropped her off with Brett, her counselor (she picked him). Today she played with Alice in and watched a Nemo puppet show. She also danced with Snow White and saw JoJo's Circus.
Once we had her settled, we took off to find everyone and then took a tour of the Atlantis Hotel together. It wasn't much of a tour, but it was really fun all being together! On the way back to the ship there was some traffic, so Paw-Paw paid the cab driver and we headed back on foot.
When we went to pick Jade up, she took us on a tour of the Club. It looked like a Peter Pan world, including a pirate ship with a rope ladder, a cannon (that has a red button when pushed it makes a cannon sound), stars on the ceiling and an alligator on the floor to climb on. There were also barrels to run through. In another room they had a closet and chest full of costumes for dressing up. Mulan and Cinderella were in there coloring with some kids. Jade has been sleeping on the top bunk and loves climbing up and down the ladder to her bed.

Paw-Paw and Gamie!

Paw-Paw got a Mickey Mouse top hat & for Gamie, a Minnie Mouse veil. Our family sat at two different tables, but we alternated so we could all visit with each other. This is in Animator's Palette restaurant. The walls and the servers vests start out black and white and change to full color by the end of the meal.

T's weekend

JT stayed with the Taylors for a little while, then Aunt Kylene picked him up and she stayed at our house with him.

Getting On Board

We dropped T off at Amie Taylor's house and headed to Houston for our flight to Orlando. Jade had pizza while we waited to board the plane. When it got dark Jade said she was ready to go home, we didn't get to Orlando until11:30pm. We got to Orlando @ 11:30pm and took a shuttle to the Marriott. After we checked in, we walked to Denny's for dinner. Outside the hotel was a pond with a fountain. It made the walk longer, but more fun. The grasshoppers and frogs were really noisy and this made Jade very curious. Jade ordered pancakes and bacon in the shape of an alien. The kids menu had pictures they could choose from. When we got up the next morning, we took the bus to Port Canaveral. While I checked us onto the cruise Jade and Robert watched cartoons, and then Mickey Mouse came out to greet everyone. Jade didn't want to get close to him. Robert pointed out how all the parents were taking pictures of their kids with Mickey. He asked her, "Don't you want me to get your picture with Mickey?". She said,"Here I'll take it." and took the camera from him. Oh well. Jade did like looking at Mickey from a distance, though. Once on board Morgan found us and we headed for our room. Jade saw Paw-Paw and went straight to him and gave him a big hug.

We went to Grandma & Pa Pa's house to celebrate Ryan's birthday. The kids loved helping him open his presents.
